On the road again...

We're off again, but first ......

We will miss the friendly Moab Diner.

Driving south we pass our last arch - Wilson Arch.

Monticello appears after around 50 miles, a small town established by Mormons in 1887.

Continuing south into San Juan County we spy the Mexican Hat Rock which gives the nearby settlement its name.

Over the San Juan river...

.... and the iconic view appears.

Followed by many more...

.... and we're finally in Monument Valley.

One of the Mittens.

It's lunchtime and it's very hazy outside.

Roadside jewellery shops. Necklaces make nice light presents.....

It's lunchtime and we head for Goulding's Lodge. It was Harry Goulding and his wife 'Mike' who first started trading with the Native Americans and then suggested to Hollywood that the Valley might make an ideal place to film Western Movies.

The view outside....

The view inside.....

Time for a few final photographs.

There are so many lovely views.

But we have to leave Utah.

Goodbye Utah!

It's a real goat.

Hello Arizona!

72 miles to Tuba City, our next stop.

72 miles of this....

.... And we are now in Tuba City, which isn't a city and we haven't seen any tubas.

Grand Canyon tomorrow - hope the sun shines!
